Calculating Your GPA

To manually calculate your GPA, divide your total quality points by your total GPA hours.

Use the table below to determine quality points for each letter grade for each course.

Multiply grade quality points by course hours.

GPA Example
  Grade   Quality Points   Course Hours   Total
English B = 3 x 3 = 9
Psychology A = 4 x 3 = 12
Biology B = 3 x 4 = 12
US History C = 2 x 3 = 6
Public Speaking A = 4 x 3 = 12
Total         16   51


Divide by the total number of hours.

51 \ 16 = 3.19

Please see your advisor regarding calculcations regarding repeat courses and courses taken under Academic Forgiveness, Academic Fresh Start, Academic Amnesty, etc.

"W" grades have no affect on GPA.
